South East Alaska Shipwrecks ( Q )

QUASAR (1977)     The 7 ton gas screw Quasar was consumed by fire August 30, 1977 one half mile south of Snettisham Rocks in Stephens Passage.

QUICKSILVER (1974)     The 15 ton oil screw Quicksilver burned November 23, 1974 in Ernest Sound.

QUILEENE (1939)     The 43 ton 62 foot wooden oil screw Quileene stranded and was lost at the south end of Green Island in Davidson Inlet August 27, 1940.  The four persons aboard the vessel made it to safety.
