May 17, 2012 A 44 year old male crewmember died of injuries suffered in a severe fall aboard the 310 foot cannery ship Gordon Jenson in Bristol Bay.
July 4, 2012 Richard B Boyce (64) was lost overboard from the 38 foot fishing vessel Eleanor S just south of Berners Bay. A net had fouled in the prop near Mab Island and Boyce was attempting to dislodge it.
July 29, 2012 A 60 year old male collapsed aboard the fishing vessel Elaine B and subsequent attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful.
August 31, 2012 Jaime Gallegos and Leif Bolan were lost when the 58 foot crab fishing Advantage capsized and sank 14 miles southeast of Sitkalidak Island.
