    1. It will take awhile before I can get the bad spelling out of the 1993 chronological list and my ALASKA SHIPWRECK book. The posting on the alphabetical list is fixed.

  2. Please correct the date for the sinking of the Ahaliq to 1977
You have it listed in 1979

    1. Thankyou Michael. It is listed several other places on this website correctly. The only place it is wrong in on the Names of People lost lists. I will correct it as soon as possible. Thank You and sorry for your loss.

  3. I am looking for the factory ship All Alaskan. I believe it ran aground near St. Pauls Is. or the Pribilofs. Late 70s, early 80s. Thank you

    1. The All Alaskan was lost in 1987 on Saint Paul Island. There is some information in (A) of the A-Z Section of this site. I also have a number of newspaper articles, photographs and reports of the loss in my files including a National Transportation and Safety Board Report. Contact me at warren@alaskashipwreck.com if you would like to be sent any of what is in the files.

  4. I research the burning ship in Alaska territory, when the m/v independence rescue & load all crew to the m/v independence ship & un load to Dutch harbor. I don’t know exactly what year, 1990 to 1998.when I work to m/v independence as a processor crew..

  5. I’m not sure if a saint patrick qualifies as a shipwreck. The crew abandoned her in panick when she was in danger of capsizing, but she righted herself and was found adrift with no crew and towed to Kodiak.

    1. The Saint Patrick is listed under the “S” section in the alphabetical part of this site and in 1981 in the chronological section. We have a large file on the Saint Patrick tragedy and the last survivor is a frequent visitor and contributor to our effort to accumulate information on as many maritime tragedies as possible.
